Windscreen Question

Have been contemplating purchasing the windscreen for my 500C but after reading the installation guide I'm concerned that it may be a bit of a pain since I may open and close the top while in motion. I'd hate to spend that kind of $$$ only to find it unusable most of the time.

Does anyone know if the top will go down completely with the screen in place?

I am pretty sure the windscreen is designed to work when the top is all of the way down because if the top is in the next to down position the windscreen is not really needed.
