why were all Abarths white at one time?

I know that they were all white one time but now I am happy to see there are different colors. I may want a black Abarth. What is everyone's preference?

The black ones I've seen have looked really really cool.

I think they started off all white because classic colors are easier to sell. But as for my color preference I would say candy apple red :)
