    Hi Marc,

Sorry to take so long to reply. Cochem is very beautiful, and I have heard of the Moselle river and the wonderful wine produced there. I was surprised to know that you have heard of the fires we had here. We were concerned at first, but now things are under control and mostly out. Fortunately they were not too near, and we were not affected by the smoke too much, although we had poor air quality for several days.

I wanted to tell you some good news. I got my car on Monday, and I have been enjoying it very much. Fiat recommends that it not be driven hard for the first 300 miles, so I have been taking it easy. I have posted some pictures on Facebook (if you are on Facebook and want to friend me, Linda Echo-Hawk) and will try to post some to this site in the next day or two.

In the meantime, I must get back to work, but I will write more about the car soon.

    Your friend,
    Linda

    Dear Linda,

thats okay! I don't have much time to visit every site at the week too.

Nice to hear that you not affected. This fires are very awful. i wish this disaster no one.

I saw your car on Facebook! It's a really nice car! I love this color. It is the same color that was on my (ex)alfa romeo mito. (i was written the same on FB)
Yes, its right. You must drive the car softly at first. The engine will acclimate.
Do you like wines from germany? Have you ever made holiday in Germany?

    Your friend,
    marc

    Hi Marc,

I finally added some pictures to this site. I have over 300 miles on the car in one week! I really love it. Today we drove up to the mountains to hike. (We saw a moose!) Driving up the canyon is definitely what you called serpentine and very fun! The little car is very impressive. I am trying hard not to get a speeding ticket. This is definitely my dream car.

I wanted to answer your questions about Germany. I do like German wine! I'm not very knowledgeable, but someone told me years ago that white wines from Germany are the best. I have never been to Germany, or even outside of the US. I don't often have the opportunity to travel. Americans work too much and don't take enough vacation (holiday) time! There are many beautiful places in the US that I have not yet seen, such as the Grand Canyon, so hopefully I can drive there some day.

Oh, I also wanted to tell you that I saw another Fiat 500 driving home from work yesterday, so maybe there will be more and more of them on the roads as time goes by. They are a lot of fun!

    Your friend,
    Linda
